Level 2: CCTV-Public Space Surveillance Southwark

To obtain a qualification linked to the Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) SIA licence, you must attend an approved training course and pass the final exam. The SIA requires a minimum of 27 hours of classroom-based learning for this course. Failure to complete the full 27 hours may result in your certificate being invalidated.

Our South East London training centre is ideally located for learners based in Southwark.

Total Cost £250 (£100 Deposit and £150 Payment Outstanding In Office)

Course Details

SIA CCTV Course in  South East London (Southwark)

To obtain your SIA CCTV licence, you must complete this SIA-approved Level 2 CCTV course, which meets the mandatory 27 hours of guided learning required by the Security Industry Authority (SIA). Without completing all 27 hours, your certificate may be invalidated.

  • Duration: 3 Days

  • Delivery: Face-to-face training

  • Assessment: Final exam on the third day

  • Legislation relevant to licensable activities

Unit 2: Working as a CCTV Operator

  • Roles and responsibilities of CCTV staff

  • CCTV codes of practice and operational guidelines

  • Legislation affecting CCTV operations

  • Effective communication in CCTV operations

  • Emergency procedures in the control room

  • Components of a CCTV system

  • Health and safety for CCTV operators

Unit 3: Practical Use of CCTV Systems

  • Using CCTV equipment

  • Operating a CCTV system in a control room environment
