Each type of incident presents unique challenges, and your role as an operator is to recognise early indicators, follow compliance frameworks, and coordinate a professional response that keeps people safe.

Vehicle-Based Attack | A deliberate act where a vehicle is used as a weapon to cause mass harm in crowded or vulnerable areas. |
Improvised Explosive Device (IED) | A bomb is made and used outside of conventional military methods, often concealed in vehicles, bags, or public places. |
Active Shooter | An attacker using firearms to cause harm in a crowded or targeted location requires an immediate response. |
Lone Actor Threat | A single individual planning and attacking without direct support, often radicalised or self-motivated. |
Insider Risk | A threat posed by employees, contractors, or trusted individuals who misuse their access to assist or carry out attacks. |
Situational Awareness | The ability to remain alert, recognise threats early, and make informed decisions to support safety and compliance. |
