Organisational Preparedness

Overview

No security control room can work in isolation. Organisational preparedness ensures that your actions as an operator are aligned with the wider security strategy of the site you protect. This module explains how to assess threats specific to your location, integrate control room activities into organisational security plans, and rehearse responses so that when an incident occurs, you and your team are ready to act.

You will understand how preparedness links directly to compliance standards such as SIA licencing, BSI standards, NSI guidance, and GDPR, ensuring that your role supports both operational effectiveness and legal obligations.
