Body Worn Camera (BWC) Training for Security Officers

This course provides Security Officers with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to use Body Worn Cameras (BWCs) safely, legally, and professionally across a wide range of UK security environments. Learners will explore how BWCs support safety, transparency, and accountability while gaining a solid understanding of key legislation including GDPR, the Human Rights Act, ICO Surveillance Guidance, and industry standards such as SIA requirements and BS 8593:2017. Through real-world examples, interactive activities, and practical guidance, the course covers pre-deployment checks, activation and communication procedures, ethical conduct, data protection responsibilities, secure footage storage and sharing, evidential integrity, and effective incident reporting.
