This online Manual Handling Awareness course is ideal for anyone looking to gain further understanding and awareness of manual handling and correct techniques of lifting. You will gain an understanding of the legal duties of both employers and employees, as well as familiarising you with all of the safety arrangements that need to be put in place.

You will gain the knowledge to recognise hazards. Furthermore, it is an excellent addition to your CV to make yourself more prospective to Job seekers.

Your course Content

Course Aim- To give you the skills and knowledge required to be proficient in Manual Handling Operations, and in doing so, to minimise the risk of injury to yourself and your colleagues.

Module 1: Aims and Introduction to Manual Handling

In this first unit of the course we will be looking at what manual handling is. The responsibilities of employees and employers will be covered as well as HSE guidance.

Module 2: Injuries associated with manual handling

This unit will cover injuries associated with manual handling and an awareness of the muscoskeletal system.

we will look at control measures and ways in which risks can be reduced. We will cover risk assessments in more detail and explain who is responsible for carrying these out and how.
