Security Team Leader Training, £45 individually

The largest course in the bundle at seven modules and eight hours. Leading a shift, briefing and debriefing, allocating people to posts, handling performance conversations, and communicating upward to a manager and outward to a client.

Lone Worker Security Officer

Working alone changes every calculation. This course covers dynamic risk assessment when you have only your own judgement, check-in and escalation procedures, what happens when contact is lost, and the duty of care your employer owes you under health and safety law.

Void Property Security Officer

Empty buildings attract theft, metal stripping, arson, fly-tipping and occupation. Securing them is its own discipline.

One distinction matters more than any other: squatting in a residential building is a criminal offence under section 144 of the LASPO Act 2012, while squatting in a commercial building remains a civil matter. That single point determines what you can do, who you call, and how long removal takes, and officers get it wrong routinely.

The course also covers fire risk in vacant buildings, the inspection regimes insurers expect, and the duty owed even to trespassers under the Occupiers’ Liability Act 1984.

Conflict Management Awareness

De-escalation, reading a situation before it develops, and the communication that resolves something without force. On a manned site you can call for support. Alone, your voice is the only tool you have, which is why this course sits in this bundle rather than a frontline one.
