The Door Supervisor course is a six-day course, and over this period, you will learn what it requires to work in the private security industry, including conflict management and physical intervention.
It is now also compulsory to have an Emergency First Aid Certificate before you can take the training required for a door supervisor or security guard license.

The SIA Top Up Training course in Luton is compulsory. From 1 October 2021, the Security Industry Authority (SIA) is changing the way that Security Guard (SG) and Door Supervisor (DS) licenses are renewed. To renew your licence, you must complete additional training called ‘Top-Up’ training / “Top Up Door Supervisor Refresher.”
This new SIA Top Up course will upskil door supervisors to the level attained by those who took the course and qualification.
This is a two-day SIA Top Up Training course in Luton. The workbook must be completed prior to attending the face-to-face training.

SIA CCTV Course is required if you work as a CCTV operator (or supply operatives under a contract for services) who uses closed circuit television (CCTV) equipment to monitor the activities of a member of the public in a public or private place.
The CCTV Course is a 3-day training and is assessed by 2 multiple choice exams and a practical assessment. You will attain a Level 2 Qualification In CCTV Operations which will make you eligible for an SIA CCTV License or Public Space Surveillance License.

The First Aid Course has been designed for candidates to achieve a nationally recognised award in First Aid. It is designed to train individuals up to the standard set by the Health and Safety Executive for the purpose of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
The emergency First Aid course will be delivered in one day, which is ideal for door supervisors and security officers. The two-day first aid course at work is ideal for First Aid Trainers. We run this course every week, and at the end of the course, there will be an assessment.

How can I book and pay for the course?

When will I receive my examination result?
Results are published online within 10-14 working days after your examination date. You will be notified by SMS and email when they are ready to view – in the rare case your results are delayed, we will always keep you informed.
When will I receive my certificate?
Certificates are usually dispatched 7 days after successful course completion. Please contact us – if it has been over 14 days so we can verify your address and arrange for a replacement.
Please note, you don’t need a certificate to apply for your SIA Licence.
I want to renew my License as a Security Guard, is this course right for me?
Yes, you would need an SIA Top Up Training to renew your Door Supervisor Licence to allows you to work as a Security Guard and a Door Supervisor.
That means – you can work in retail security, nightclubs and events with a Door Supervisor Licence.
What ID documents do I have to bring along?
It is a regulatory requirement to do an identity check for all security-related qualifications. Therefore, candidates who are attending Licence linked course are requested to provide the following upon arrival;
- Two passport size photos
- Original passport of any nationality or UK photo Drivers Licence
- Two forms of address proof (originals)

Note: You will not be able to sit the exam if you do not have the correct ID Documents. (Government Requirement)

What if my course is cancelled?
We hate it when training providers have to cancel a course – but it can happen for reasons outside our control. If your course is cancelled – we will offer you an alternate date, if that date is not suitable, we will offer you an instant refund.
Does the course fee include the SIA Licence application fee?
The course fee does not include the licence fee. The licence application fee of £220 is payable to directly to the SIA when applying for the licence – which is valid for three years.
