Security Industry Standards

Overview

Professional security work in the UK is built on industry standards and regulations. These standards aren’t optional — they set the rules for how you operate safely, legally, and professionally. In this module, you’ll learn how slips, trips, and falls prevention links directly to SIA requirements, NSI guidance, and BSI codes of practice.

Understanding these standards is essential to protecting your licence, your job, and the public you serve.
