What is Job Support Programme?
Job Support Programme is the latest phase of Universal Support, and is part of Central London Forward’s Work and Health Programme . It offers personalised employment support to people who are economically inactive. We will support you into sustainable work through employment support, upskilling and training with continued support once you’re in work. Job Support Programme offers support for up to 15 months plus optional in
work support of up to 6 months.
Who is it for? | If you’re currently unemployed, and not currently required to search for work as part of Universal Credit or JSA, then Job Support Programme could help you |
You must live in one of the 12 Central London Boroughs: | Hackney, Haringey, Lewisham, Lambeth, Southwark, Camden, Wandsworth, Tower Hamlets, Westminster, The City of London, RBKC, or Islington. |
To be eligible for Job Support Programme, you must also: | Have the right to reside and enter employment in England or Wales. Be of working age (18+). Not already have a job offer or be about to start work. Not be in any type of employment including zero hour contracts. Not be on any other DWP contracted provision. Not have completed previously. |
Specialist support is also available to the following groups: | People with a disability or disabilities as defined by the Equality Act 2010. Partners of current or former Armed Forces personnel. Ex-offenders (someone who has completed a custodial sentence or a community sentence), or offender (someone who is serving a community sentence). Homeless people,Refugees,Care leavers, Afghan Resettlers,Ukrainian Evacuees, Ex-carers,Carers,Victims of domestic violence |

What support is available?
You will receive specialist one-to-one support from a dedicated Employment Specialist including:work support of up to 6 months.
- A personalised 4-week accelerator plan.
- Access to an employer within the first 30 days.
- A wide range of health-related interventions.
- Job specific CV and cover letter creation.
- Mock interviews.
- Better-off calculation
- Access to the i Works digital careers platform
- National Careers Service skills and job assessments
- Travel planning
- Ongoing in-work support
- Career progression and development support once in work
How do people join?

Are appointments face-to-face or by telephone?
Customers can choose to have their appointements face-to-face or by telephone.
Will customer's travel be paid for?
Yes, you can reimburse customers for their travel costs.
Can Job Support Programme help with interview clothes?
Yes, When customers are ready to go to an interview, we will help them look and feel work-ready.
Is help provided to access and use technology?
Yes, We will provide support and customer can also join It skills workshop.
If someone hasn't work for a long time, can they still join Job Support Programme?
If they feel ready to work within the next 12 months,they can join Job Support Programme
Is anything customers need to bring to their first appointment?
Customers should bring some form of ID such a spassport or identity card.
